Enter Apple Night Night Magnesium Gummy recipe – a delightful and effective way to introduce the calming benefits of magnesium into your child’s bedtime routine.

These tasty gummies not only make bedtime a treat but also support the natural relaxation process, helping your children drift into a restful sleep. Learn more about how Apple Night Night Magnesium Gummies can transform bedtime into a soothing experience for both parents and their little ones.

Benefits of Magnesium

You know, magnesium is like the unsung hero of relaxation! It’s this awesome vitamin that doesn’t get enough credit for the incredible job it does in helping us chill out. I recently discovered the magic of magnesium, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer for the whole family’s sleep routine. It’s like a secret potion that turns bedtime into a cozy, peaceful experience.

Whether it’s the kids finally catching some Zs or you and your partner enjoying a more restful night, magnesium is the unsung hero we all need. So, if you haven’t hopped on the magnesium train yet, you’re missing out on the key to a good night’s sleep for the whole fam!

I also learned that magnesium was one of those minerals that was really common to be deficient in. I actually was deficient myself! So I started thinking about ways to help my kids get in more magnesium each day and these apple gummies were a really easy thing to try.

Benefits of eating Gelatin: A Mom’s Secret Weapon for Health and Wellness

Let’s shine the spotlight on one unsung hero in this recipe – gelatin. Yes, the same gelatin that gives our kids’ favorite jello and these gummies its fun, wobbly texture! But gelatin is more than just a key ingredient in desserts; it’s packed with surprising health benefits.

1. Joint Health Champion

Ever felt those knee twinges after a day of running around with your energetic kiddos? Gelatin can help! It’s rich in collagen, a protein that’s essential for our joints. Regularly consuming gelatin can help improve joint health and mobility – a real boon for us super-active moms!

2. Skin’s Best Friend

Who doesn’t want glowing, youthful skin? The collagen in gelatin can help maintain skin elasticity and hydration, helping you retain that youthful glow. It’s like a beauty treatment, right from your kitchen!

3. Digestive Aid

Gelatin is a superstar when it comes to supporting digestive health. It naturally binds to water and helps food move through the digestive system more smoothly. If you or your little ones have sensitive tummies, adding gelatin to your diet could be a game-changer.

4. Sleep Enhancer

Quality sleep is a precious commodity for us moms. Here’s some good news – gelatin is rich in glycine, an amino acid that can improve sleep quality. A spoonful of gelatin in your evening herbal tea might just make your nights more restful!

5. Bone Health Booster

Gelatin is a good source of minerals like calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus, which are crucial for strong, healthy bones. It’s an easy way to ensure your kids (and you!) are getting these vital nutrients. Incorporating gelatin into your family’s diet is a breeze. You can add it to soups, stews, smoothies, or even make homemade, healthy gummies for your kids.

So, the next time you’re whipping up a meal, consider adding a sprinkle of gelatin. It’s a simple step with big benefits for your family’s health.

I came up with the idea of Apple Night Night Magnesium Gummy Recipe that combines the power of magnesium and gelatin.

  1. Hi. 🙂 I like this idea way better than using melatonin. I’m curious, though. How many does this recipe make. I see that you used your mini muffin pan, but how much “batter” did you put into each well? Thanks!

  2. This. is. amazing. I have not tried your recipe, but I really have to give it a shot! Definitively pinning and sharing this now! Found you via MMM 🙂

  3. WoW! this is very interesting . I will pinned this to try. Sounds awesome. Thanks for sharing it! I ‘ll try this for my little boy.

  5. Great idea!! Thanks so much for linking up at the MaMade Blog Hop! Don’t forget to stop back again next week to link up and see if you were featured 🙂 Have a great weekend!!

  6. I am definitely going to have to give these a try! My little girl doesn’t sleep at night and her doctors keep on trying to push melatonin because they say she processes it backwards. Thanks for sharing! I am super excited about this lol

    • I hope it helps! I have a lot of trouble sleeping some nights and magnesium really helps me sleep. I like to use magnesium oil, epsom salt baths and magnesium supplements (like this). I hope you can find some relief and help her sleep.

  8. Great recipe. Thanks for sharing at Sweet and Savoury Sundays, we’d love for you to link up again this weekend.

  9. We have the original, so it doesn’t really have any taste. I usually change the flavor by the different fruit. I have made orange and lemon flavored now along with the apple. My daughter likes apple the best, my husband likes the tart ones the best. I think you could buy the flavored magnesium powder and then just match it with a complementing fruit.

  11. Good Question! I let Aidalyn eat probably up to 5 of the mini muffin sized ones. There are 2 teaspoons of magnesium in the whole batch. My magnesium powder says 2 teaspoons is a serving size. So she is getting less than the “serving size” but still getting a little added magnesium in her system to help calm her before bed. They don’t last long around here. I would think kept in the fridge and covered, they would be good for 1 week for sure.

  12. What an awesome idea! We use melatonin at bedtime, but I don’t like to use it every day. My kids adore homemade gummy candy – this would be such a fun bedtime treat.

Thanks for sharing at Family Fun Friday! I’m featuring your post this week.

    • Thank you so much Sarah! I am so glad you will be able to use this recipe. My 3 year old love making them. They firm up pretty quickly too, so the kids don’t have to wait too long before they are ready to eat. Thanks for reading : )

  13. I uses some mango purée I had on hand instead of the apple sauce. When I mixed it all together it was pretty foamy (a lot of air bubbles) is this how every else’s was too!? They are settling in the fridge now I can’t wait to try them!

    • Oh yum! I love mango. Mine haven’t been foamy, but I don’t think that it would affect the flavor that much. Let me know what you think! I haven’t tried mango yet.

  14. I can’t wait to try this! My boyfriends 3 year old has trouble sleeping and we want to figure out a way to get her on a regular sleep schedule naturally. I plan to make them in strawberry and cherry flavor and use chocolate molds to shape them like flowers and hearts because she’s extremely picky. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thank you for posting this!

  16. I thought the supplement cal-mag you mentioned wasn’t for children? I use it for myself and that’s what the label says. I think my toddler could benefit from it though! Can you share what amount is safe because I know it can be overdosed. So happy to have found this post! We make other gummy snacks with gelatin and I’d love to add some cal mag, but I don’t want her to have too many …she loves them! Thanks!

    • My Natural Calm says that kids until 4 should consult with their doctor. I know that my naturopath recommended it for my daughter at 3 – and we just limited to about 5 apple gummies a day.

  17. I’m so excited to make these for my kiddos. I just have a couple of questions. You say you use your mini muffin tin, so they’re pretty big gummies then? How many do you give your child at night to help with sleep. Thanks for the recipe!! Can’t wait to make them!

    • When I make them… I do use my mini muffin pan, but I only fill it maybe a 1/3 of the way. They are still pretty small. I usually let my daughter have 4 or so as a dessert after dinner. Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

    • Not right before bed… more like a dessert after dinner. When my daughter was needing help winding down at night I would let her have 3-5 small gummies after dinner. Thanks for reading!

  18. Okay so I just tried making these. And it tasted delicious and everything was fine until I added boiling water and then it turned dark brown and got almost a rancid taste. Any ideas or suggestions what I did wrong??

  19. I’ve made these this morning for the first time and my kids already can’t wait to try them. They smell delicious! Our magnesium powder is raspberry flavoured so I think the apple/berry combo will be a winner!

    • Yes, I did! Most of the time I make it with stevia and leave out the maple syrup making it even lower in sugar count. Some moms would rather us natural sugar for their kids, so it is easy to adapt.

  20. I was wondering what age I could start these? Ive been looking for healthy snacks between dinner & bed, for my 18 month old, & he loves fruit.

  21. Hey im 16 weeks pregnant with my 4th and as u can imagine I get no sleep… 3 kids 3 and under …. Anyways are see safe to try when ur pregnant and can my 3 year old try one… As in what age group are these for?

  22. I have a calcium/magnesium/vitamin D powder, could I use that in place of the Magnesium powder? I want to use it up. Thanks!

  23. Hello. I can’t see the link for the magnesium powder that’s recommended. Can you comment what you use as well as the gelatin you use? Also wondering if some collagen could be added for gut health. Thank you.
