Benefits of Avocados

Avocados are highly nutritious and offer a wide range of health benefits for your whole family! You can easily sneak them in with you make these low carb avocado brownies. Here are some of the nutritious benefits of avocados:

1. Rich in Nutrients:

Avocados are packed with nearly 20 vitamins and minerals, including potassium, vitamin K, vitamin E, vitamin C, and B-vitamins.

2. Heart Health:

They are high in monounsaturated fats, which are heart-healthy fats. They can help lower bad cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.

3. Digestive Health:

Avocados are high in fiber, which can help prevent constipation, maintain a healthy digestive tract, and lower the risk of colon cancer.

4. Eye Health:

They are a great source of lutein and zeaxanthin, two phytochemicals that are especially concentrated in the tissues in the eyes where they provide antioxidant protection to help minimize damage, including from ultraviolet light.

5. Weight Management:

The fiber in avocados provides a feeling of fullness or satiety, which can help with weight management.

6. Bone Health:

They contain substances like Vitamin K, copper, and folate which are beneficial for bone health.

7. Skin Health:

The healthy fats and vitamins in avocados can help nourish your skin and promote a more youthful complexion.

8. Blood Sugar Regulation:

The monounsaturated (good) fats in avocados can help in stopping or reversing insulin resistance, which is beneficial in regulating blood sugar levels.

Remember, while avocados are beneficial, they are also high in calories, so they should be eaten in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
