The Best Recipes of March

We have had a lot of fun on Grassfed Mama so far this year. I wanted to highlight some of our top post so far from March.

1) Best Brownie in a Mug

This is always a crowd pleaser. I created this recipe when I was pregnant and dealing with gestational diabetes.  I was needing a snack that I could fix quickly during a nap and that I actually wanted to eat (crazy pregnancy taste buds). I would make this every day (and sometimes twice a day if I needed the extra energy).

When I was pregnant I would use almond butter instead of peanut flour. After I had my baby, I was introduced to peanut flour. I loved how I could make this brownie in a mug with the extra benefit of coconut oil. I get raving reviews from readers how they love it too. Hope you enjoy my Best Brownie in a Mug.  (Sugar Free and Grain Free!) read more

Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Peanut Clusters

Homemade sugar free Dark Chocolate Candy can be easy to make at home. I started making my own sugar free candy a few month ago when I realized how much sugar was in even the dark chocolate candy bars. I love chocolate and wanted a way to enjoy it without all the sugar.

Why should you make homemade candy?

1) Cheaper

Good quality sugar free candy is expensive!

2) Quick and easy dessert

Dessert can be ready in less than 20 minutes!

3) Healthy

Using coconut oil and stevia, these candies are actually quite healthy for you… so no guilt if you happen to eat the whole batch in one sitting (not me of course, cough) read more

Valentine’s day treats for me represent Chocolate! A close second would be Cheesecake… and the ultimate treat would be chocolate drizzled on a cheesecake.

There are plenty of options to enjoy when you are trying to eat like a Trim Healthy Mama. Eating carb conscious hasn’t looked more delicious! All these treats would be considered satisfying treats (or S desserts). You can enjoy these after a scrumptious satisfying meal like steak and cauliflower “faux” tatos.  read more

Sugar Free Hot Chocolate Mousse

Glucomannan dessert

Hot Chocolate Mousse

{Sugar Free, Dairy Free Option, Gluten Free, Low Calorie, Low Fat}

Sugar Free Hot Chocolate Mousse is the perfect sugar free treat that you won’t have any guilt over not sharing. It is light and airy. This is also gluten free with a dairy free option.

This Sugar Free Hot Chocolate Mousse is made with almond milk and glucomannan as its thickening agent. Together with flavors of chocolate and vanilla blend into the perfect dessert or snack.

I topped mine with cacao nibs because I’m kind of obsessed with them right now. If you like dark chocolate, you need to check them out. They can be eaten raw, but we are enjoying them sprinkled on desserts and oatmeal for a special touch. read more

The Best Brownie in a Mug Recipe!

This is the BEST Brownie you can make in a mug!

I must confess, I love chocolate. Before this recipe, I would grab a few tablespoons of Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (affiliate link). These were not the perfect solution although they had great ingredients, they were still filled with sugar. This brownie in a mug is my go to chocolate craving killer. You just mix this brownie up in one minute and microwave… then sit down and enjoy the hot, fresh Brownie in a mug!

Sometimes you just need chocolate. Some days you just need a brownie! Who wants to bake brownies for 20 minutes when you can enjoy this brownie cake in a mug in less than 2? read more
