Christmas is the perfect time to get the whole family together and make really fun crafts to give. I found this Snowman Essential Oil Air Freshener from Designs by Miss Mandee and I just knew it would be a big hit!

This time of year is a great time to teach our kids about giving and not just getting what is on their own Christmas list – plus if your kids are anything like mine… they LOVE craft time! My girls love it when they can make something and give it to someone they love.

One reason this idea stuck out to me is because we love using essential oils to freshen our whole house naturally. About 10 years ago, we started making steps to live a more natural life… and that started with eating whole foods and quickly moved to using essential oils to remove some chemicals and toxins from our home (for cleaning and freshening).  Plus, Essential Oils also can make really great DIY gifts just in time for Christmas and these Snowman Air Fresheners were really fun to make (plus the girls got to practice their cutting skills).

If you haven’t started using essential oils yet, here are 5 other ways you can start using essential oils in your home.

DIY Snowman Car Freshener

Directions

First We cut out all the felt first using the templates.

Then I let the girls design their snowman.

We used cotton balls for stuffing (you probably will need to tear them into smaller pieces)

I handled the gluing (and may have burned myself 3 times lol, so be careful!)

When they are ready, put 3 drops of your favorite essential oil on the back. (We used Defend & Eucalyptus)

Hang them in your car or even around your house 🙂

Enjoy!!!!

Hope you guys have fun making these and make lots of fun memories together!

Merry Christmas from the Parkers 🙂

P.S. Check out two other gift ideas you can make this year using essential oils: Lemon Sugar Scrub & Eucalyptus Bath Salts
