Turkey and Mushroom Asian Lettuce Wraps
A Trim and Healthy Satisfying Asian Lettuce Wrap Recipe.

  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 1 pound of Ground turkey
  • 1 onion
  • ⅓ cup of Tamari (or soy sauce)
  • ½ cup of chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon of glucomannan
  • ½ teaspoon of ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ¼-1/2 teaspoon of salt (the soy sauce is pretty salty already)
  • ¼-1/2 teaspoon of liquid stevia drops (depending on how sweet of a teryaki sauce you like you could also try Truvia, Nunaturals stevia or other sweetener)
  • 1 large box of mushrooms - chopped finely
  • 1 cup of shredded carrots
  • 1 package of Hearts of Romaine lettuce
  1. Heat sauce pan on medium high heat.
  2. Add coconut oil. Once heated, add chopped onion.
  3. Once onion is cooked, add ground turkey, salt, pepper flakes, black pepper, ginger and garlic powder.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the tamari or soy sauce, broth and rice vinegar.
  5. Add in the liquid stevia (or you can try a few shakes of nunaturals or Truvia powder)
  6. Slowly stir in glucomannan making sure to mix in completely without forming clumps.
  7. Once meat is cooked, add liquid mixture, carrots and mushrooms.
  8. Let cook until carrots are tender (about 10 minutes)
  9. Serve wrapped in lettuce leaves.
