Rise up for Others

This past Sunday, I heard a message about Rising Up and in my heart I just knew that so many of us were feeling comfortable and needing to Rise up where we are.

Yesterday, I shared the first video Rising to the Opportunity and today I’m sharing the second part: We Rise for Others.

The rains came down, and the floods came up…

There are some things in life you take for granted…

Every day you expect that you will wake up on time. Every day you expect that your car will start. Every day you expect that your power will be on.

And every day you expect for your toilet to work properly.

That is where my story begins.

I was 35 weeks pregnant. Not feeling great – just pushing through to the end of the pregnancy. I was done with nesting. My nursery was decorated and ready for a new baby girl. My birth kit was ordered and put together. My house was neat and clean…. Then it happened. read more

Introductions

Good Sunday morning! This is my attempt to get my thoughts out of my mind and document life as I see it. Sunday is a good day to start. I grew up in a christian home where most Sunday mornings were spent at church, unless we were puking our guts out or had a fever over 104.1, haha. My parents believed that Christianity was more than just going to church and it really was a part of their everyday life. Thankfully they have passed their passion and love for God onto their 3 children: myself (the baby), my sister (the oldest) and my brother (stuck in the middle).
Our family was far from perfect – but we loved God and really wanted to honor him with our lives (how that looks has changed in my mind in the past 5 years or so – but more on that later). read more
