Do you have a God Sized Dream?

I just started reading a new book with our leadership team, and it has already spoke to me so much I had to share with you!

The book we are reading is Chase the Lion by Mark Batterson – “If your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough”

I’m only on chapter 5 and I’ve already been convicted to much!

Watch this video to hear some of the major insights so far:

Biggest take-aways so far:

1) The size of your dreams is the clearest picture of the size of your God

Wow… right to my heart. This one quote really stuck out to me as something that I need to hold tight to. When I think “I can’t do that” – what I’m saying is “My God isn’t big enough to use me.” read more

Watching them grow…

This is a post I wrote almost 4 years ago… and I think about what a “baby” mom I was, haha!

I didn’t have a CLUE what it was going to be like to be a mom… but I was going to do everything I could to make the best decisions for her. Now, I’m a mom of two and I just have to laugh at how much life has changed.

You Hold me Now

Sometimes we go through times and there is a song that speaks to your inner core and just helps you put faith back in God and be reminded of his love.

When I was pregnant with Aidalyn, the song was “You Hold me Now” by Hillsong. You can listen to it by clicking here.

I was dealing with lot of emotions surrounded by a normal pregnancy on top of hopes and prayers for a healthy child. This song just spoke to me. God was able to tell me that no matter the outcome, He was holding me and holding my child. He also was able to show me there will be a day of complete healing. read more

WE are the church

As I have mentioned previously, I am a Christ follower. My husband and I are fairly active in our local church. Adam is the small groups director and plays in the band, I support him and organize workers in the coffee shop.

Our church is amazing. Water’s Edge (WE) is a place for hurting people. We launched in September 2007 meeting at a local movie theater. We were blessed to be able to build and start meeting at our new location in Feb 2011. We have grown from about 25 people meeting at a Raising Canes to 1200 and growing. We are currently having 3 separate services because we are unable to fit in our building. This year for Easter we are going to be renting out the arena at the Civic center, just so we can all meet together. read more
