How I Blog

I get lots of questions about blogging from readers and friends. So I thought I would highlight some of the services I’m using to blog and help me make Grassfed Mama happen.

1) WordPress

I love using WordPress. I find it pretty easy to use with plug ins. I needed a little help initially figuring out how to write and publish posts. Adam, my husband, got me started with using WordPress. I was using the WordPress free site initially. Adam was able to transfer everything over to this self hosted version.

2) Bluehost

Bluehost is a great hosting company. I haven’t had any issues with service with them. We have 3 blogs that they host for one fee. My site has only gone down once and it was back up and running in about 2 hours (everyone went down on New Years Eve). read more

Why I STOPPED Blogging

Why I STOPPED Blogging

and How I replaced my full time job working from home

Grassfed Mama, A.K.A. Angela, started blogging about 3 years ago on a free WordPress blog. I wanted to share tips and helpful information to all my friends and family who were interested in living a more natural lifestyle.

At the time I had a newish baby and was working part-time as a speech therapist.

After I was pregnant with my second daughter, I decided I didn’t even want to work part-time outside of the home anymore. It was hard enough to drop one kid off at daycare for just part of the time. read more

Both of these women are way more talented than I am! So, I’m so glad I’m able to show them off to all of you.

Jamie from Adorably Bow-tastic is also a great photographer. She has done all of our family pictures since moving to Richmond. You can check her photography page here. She also has such an eye for trendy fashion items for you and your family. This Reindeer bow will be the talk of all the other soccer moms when they see it on your little girl this season. You can purchase one from her store here.
Carly from Morgie Pie started sewing once she had her own little girl to play dress up with in 2010. She has grown her hobby into a great business. She can make custom order dresses and also monogram almost anything you would like! I love her monogrammed fleece headbands the most for my own gift. She can applique any idea onto shirts and add your little bug’s name to it! Send her a message on her facebook page for any orders you need this season or for all your holiday and monogramming needs.

Good luck to all of you!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! read more

The Grassfed Mama is Swaying – What did I get into!?!

I mentioned previously about the idea of gender swaying in another post. We actually did sway with our daughter and it worked I guess. The more research I do, the more it looks like such a mild sway attempt – I need to give God all the credit of the sway! I feel he his ultimately in control of our gender choice and is probably laughing at any attempt we have at choosing our gender – I digress.
