Healthy Chocolate Pancakes

When your girls want chocolate pancakes… you make high protein, low sugar chocolate pancakes and they love it!!!

Because I’m that kind of mom, haha.

When Adam and I changed our whole way of eating… it was before we were parents. We knew that being healthy wasn’t just for adults – it was something for the whole family! We had to show our girls how to eat to feed their body.

As a mom, I have learned that finding healthy recipes that the kids LOVE to eat is key… they are excited to eat healthy (and they are learning how to cook too!) I know you are going to love this recipe: read more

High Protein Brownies

I don’t know about you… but I have a weakness for brownies.

I mean… come on.

Warm, melt-y Chocolate… Who wouldn’t want to eat that!?!

With fall approaching, I really wanted to get in the kitchen and make some brownies for the whole family to enjoy. Because I want my girls to learn some healthy recipes and tips, I thought this would be a great recipe to try!

After a morning playing at the Children’s Museum, we could all go for a great snack. I loved that this was easy (not many ingredients) and they girls loved helping me mix in everything with my stand mixer. read more

 Easy Crockpot Chicken Curry

Oh Yummy. I love curry. This is such an easy recipe for a Crockpot Chicken Curry. Adam and I love Indian food. We have a few Indian restaurants around here, but I love being able to have a good curry at home.

Adam bought me a great Indian Cookbook a few years ago that really focused on the main spices in Indian dishes. There are no crockpot recipes in that cookbook, haha. I did learn a lot of the flavors though.

You could additionally top this Easy Crockpot Chicken Curry with some Greek yogurt.

We served it with riced cauliflower because we are trying to eat lower carb meals. You can serve with brown rice if you like. read more

Trim Healthy Mama on a Whole Foods Diet

There is some criticism in the whole foods world about Trim Healthy Mama. I’d like to take the time to debunk the myth that Trim Healthy Mama can’t be included in a whole food’s lifestyle.

One thing I like about  Trim Healthy Mama is that it meets you where you are. In the opening,The Trim Healthy Mama book describes different types of women and how their lifestyles are compromising their waistline: from a Drive Through Sue to a Farm Fresh Tess, or a Whole Food’s purist. All these women need help in losing weight, and have different pathways to become a healthier version of themselves.  read more
