When your girls want chocolate pancakes… you make high protein, low sugar chocolate pancakes and they love it!!!

Because I’m that kind of mom, haha.

When Adam and I changed our whole way of eating… it was before we were parents. We knew that being healthy wasn’t just for adults – it was something for the whole family! We had to show our girls how to eat to feed their body.

As a mom, I have learned that finding healthy recipes that the kids LOVE to eat is key… they are excited to eat healthy (and they are learning how to cook too!) I know you are going to love this recipe:

 HIGH PROTEIN/LOW SUGAR PANCAKES

Ingredients

1 scoop It Works Shake protein powder
1/4 c flour (I used rye flour)
1 tsp baking powder
2 scoops of Chocolate Greens Superfood Powder
1 small handful of old fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup of apple sauce
1 egg or egg whites
splash of Almond milk or whatever you have for the right consistency

(1/2 tsp of vanilla and almond extract optional)

Directions

Mix dry ingredients, mix wet and add to the dry. Cook on medium hot skillet. Flip to cook both sides.

Serves 1-2.

Serving options:

Sugar free syrup
Jelly
Drizzle of honey
Fresh fruit

Share if you want these for breakfast tomorrow morning
