One of my favorite Sunday meals that my mom would make when I was younger was her Beef Roast in the Crockpot. We always called it “Roasty-Toasty!” It was always full of flavor and a family meal that everyone enjoyed! So join me as I share my favorite beef roast made in the crockpot.

How to Make Beef Roast in the Crockpot

This easy Crockpot Beef Roast recipe will be one that you will love to add to your weekly meal plans!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons of oil
  • 3-5 lb beef roast
  • 1 lb of baby carrots
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground mustard
  • 1 cup of beef broth

Directions

  1. Heat cast iron skillet (or a regular skillet) to medium high heat with two tablespoons of oil.
  2. Sear the beef roast on both sides.
  3. Seasons with salt and pepper.
  4. Layer in your crockpot: onions, carrots, beef roast, seasoning, then broth.
  5. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
