Essential Oil Bathtub Crayons

When a rainy day strikes, bring the fun inside with bathtub crayons. Add a little Essential Oil for play time that can be as calming or energizing as Mom wants!

The girls have really enjoyed these, and sometimes it’s nice to have something that can be messy in a controlled way!

What You’ll Need:

• 1 bar Unscented Castile Soap (grated)

• 2 Tbs. hot water

• Natural food coloring (I like this one myself)

• Small ice cube tray, silicone mold, or cookie cutters on a baking sheet

6 Ways Matcha Green Tea can help you

Have you heard of Matcha Green Tea?

Matcha Green Tea has grown in popularity over the past few years. Matcha Green Tea is pretty unique because it is only grown in Japan (green tea is grown outside of Japan as well). It is a traditional tea that was consumed by Monks to improve mental clarity. One Cup of Matcha Green Tea has 10 times the nutritional value of one cup of regular green tea.

Why should you Drink Matcha Green Tea?

Natural Detox

Because Matcha tea is high in chlorophyll, it is a great way to detox naturally. Natural detox is a great way to keep our liver healthy and working properly. You should always try to avoid toxins in our environment and foods, but you just can’t avoid everything. I really like a gentle daily detox to help. read more

Do you need Probiotics?

Did you know that you are only as healthy as your gut?!?

When I started learning about health and nutrition 10 years ago, I realized that so much of our health is tied to our gut… and what is living in there o.O  One of the things I realized I was missing was Probiotics.

What are Probiotics?

Probiotics are live bacteria that are good for your health, especially your digestive system. They help keep your gut healthy! Just like there are different animals in our world… there are different strains of probiotics and each one is important for keeping you healthy. read more

Why Your Story Matters

Have you ever thought to yourself…

“I’m nothing special.”

“What do I have to offer?”

I talk to so many people who don’t see the value they have and how they could make a difference for someone else. It may be as simple as sharing your story.

Did you know that your story matters?

There is someone who is looking for hope, who needs some inspiration, who wants to know that there is someone just like them who made it through.

All of us go through different trials or hurdles in our life that we have to overcome. There is no Testimony without a Test.  read more

7 Ways to Help a New Mom

It is a special time for a new mom following the birth of a child.

So many emotions are going through a new mom’s head: I’m not pregnant any more! This is the cutest baby I’ve ever seen! Will I get my waist back? I’m already exhausted! Will I ever sleep through the night again? Are they breathing? Am I doing this right? They are so tiny! Oww I need a Tylenol… And this is just in the first 5 minutes!

Everyone wants to help a new mom out, but sometimes we forget what they need the most. Moms need to relax and recover for at least 2 weeks following birth. Having a baby is no easy task for a mom’s body to go through. If they push themselves too soon, they could hemorrhage or develop mastitis. read more

How Kitchen Nightmares has Changed Eating Out

Kitchen Nightmares is one of my favorite TV shows. I think I have a secret crush on Gordon Ramsey because I watch almost every show he is on.

Kitchen Nightmares is so appealing because it lets you go behind the scenes of failing restaurants and sends you on a journey as Gordon Ramsey steps in to solve their problems. Usually there are management issues, over ordering of food, menu issues, and sometimes it is just plain dirty!

Broadcasting this “never seen before” view of a restaurant has changed how people eat out. Let me tell you how Kitchen Nightmares has changed how I visit a restaurant. read more
