Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Recipe

I don’t know about your house, but some mornings it is really hard to get in a healthy breakfast.

Over the summer, my husband and I really focused on making sure we start our mornings off the right way! That’s when we started making this smoothie every morning. We love it because it only takes about 2 minutes to throw together, the girls love it too, and it gives us lots of protein and superfoods to start our morning.

Watch this video to see how to make your Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie:

Serves about 2.

Ingredients

1 Scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder

1 Tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder

1 Tablespoon of Peanut Flour

4 Cups of ice

1 Cup of almond milk

1 Banana

Directions

Throw everything in your blender and blend for 2 minutes or until smooth.

Which Protein Powder is right for you?

When you have goals to lose weight, build more lean muscles, or just add more protein into your diet to help stabilize your blood sugar, a good quality protein powder is a great option.

I chose these protein powders because they are low in carbs and less than one gram of sugar (which was a HUGE plus for me!).

The benefits of adding a protein powder into your diet is a quick way to increase your protein intake without needing to eat a lot more beef or chicken. We have two different protein powders and each has their unique benefits depending on what your priorities are. Both are available in Vanilla and Chocolate : )

Sugar Free High Protein Hot Chocolate

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

The temperature is starting to cool off outside, Christmas music is on the radio, your favorite Holiday movies are starting to show on the TV, Christmas Trees are starting to be lit…  what is the perfect drink to make everything complete?

    Hot Chocolate!!

I love a good hot chocolate… but there is one thing that I try to avoid and that’s sugar – yuck!

What if you could enjoy your favorite holiday drink without the guilt?

My sister came up with this recipe and I just had to share it with you! Some of the ingredients may make you go “huh??” but they all make it the perfect texture.

Traditional hot chocolate recipes that I found used sweetened condensed milk – Wow, that’s a lot of sugar!! And this recipe uses Truvia (or stevia of your choice).

Why use stevia? This is my sweetener of choice, but if you have another favorite – go ahead and use it!

We shared this with our girls too and they loved it! I love showing them that they can have a treat without all the sugar.

Without any more wait… The Recipe!

Sugar Free – High Protein Hot Chocolate

    3 cups boiling water
    1 cup of almond milk
    1 tablespoon of cocoa power
    1 pinch of salt
2 packs of Truvia (or sweeten to taste)
    1 scoop of vanilla ProFit
    2 tablespoons of butter
    1 tablespoon of coconut oil

Put everything in blender and blend for 1 minute.

    Enjoy!!!!

    Summer Broccoli Salad

    Summer Broccoli Salad

Summer is finally on its way! We are having a neighborhood cookout today to celebrate the warmer weather and longer days. I wanted to bring something somewhat healthy, because it is so easy to bring something unhealthy to parties and celebrations.

This is one of my favorite salads. Broccoli Salad filled with vegetables and satisfying cheese and dressing – yum!

This may be a crossover because of the carbs from the raisins, but it is still lower in carbs than most salads (and you could drop the raisins of course!). My mom used to buy this salad at the grocery store, then we learned how to make it ourselves.

I love how you can customize it to include more or less vegetables that you like. Some people may like to add tomatoes.

This is also a great recipe for kids to get involved. My daughter liked mixing the vegetables and helping me chopping as she could. I also love including her in the kitchen as I can to help her learn and be around new foods. I think the bacon was her favorite though, haha.

This is a wonderful fruit dip. I love it with apple slices and bananas.

This is also a wonderful topping. I put it on everything these days from chocolate muffins to oatmeal.

If you don’t have peanut flour, you can use peanut or almond butter as a replacement.

What I like about using peanut flour is that it is easy to use and helps to thicken up the dip naturally. It is also

    ditch your sugar cravings

Homemade sugar free Dark Chocolate Peanut Clusters can be easy to make at home. I started making my own sugar free candy a few month ago when I realized how much sugar was in even the dark chocolate candy bars. I love chocolate and wanted a way to enjoy it without all the sugar.
