Can you eat Dessert before Dinner??
When it is packed with protein, healthy fats, and superfoods – Sure you can!
My girls love getting messy in the kitchen, whipping up all sorts of treats…But I want to make sure I am teaching them easy recipes that also keep them healthy!
So many recipes are packed with SUGAR (yuck!) and as much as they may taste good, they are really doing us harm.
If you are struggling with cutting out the sugar, here are Four simple Tips that really helped me break the sugar addiction.
One thing I learned when I was trying to get healthy was that Healthy FATs were my friend! (Seriously!!)
Did you know that we were LIED to? Saturated Fats (like grassfed butter and coconut oil) are actually good for you!
They help me stay full longer (help regulate blood sugar), give you energy (fat is a fuel too!) but without the crash, and they can actually boost your metabolism! So here’s to eating more healthy fats, and enjoying great recipes like this one that gives you fiber, healthy fats, and protein too!
Now, for a simple Low Carb Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe your kids will BEG you for!
Low Carb Chocolate Chip Coconut Flour Bread
1 tsp baking powder
4 tablespoons of coconut oil
3.5 tablespoons of milk (I used almond milk)
2/3 cups of coconut flour
1/2 tsp of salt
8 tsps of truvia
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/3 cup low carb dark chocolate chips.
Mix wet ingredients and mix in dry ingredients. Then stir in chocolate chips.
Pour into parchment lined 9×6 bread pan.
Bake 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
