Low Carb Baking

My girls love getting messy in the kitchen, whipping up all sorts of treats. When we are baking together, I want to make sure I am teaching them easy recipes that also keep them healthy. So many popular recipes are packed with SUGAR (yuck!) and as much as they may taste good, they are really are not good for our long term health.

If you are struggling with cutting out the sugar, here are Four simple Tips that really helped me break the sugar addiction.

One thing I learned when I was trying to get healthy was that Healthy FATs were my friend (Seriously!!) Did you know that fats are actually good for you? Saturated Fats (like grassfed butter and coconut oil) are actually good for you!

Eating healthy fats help you stay full longer (help regulate blood sugar), give you energy (fat is a fuel too!) but without the crash, and they can actually boost your metabolism. So here’s to eating more healthy fats, and enjoying great recipes like this one that gives you fiber, healthy fats, and protein too!
